Kami-kohchi
In this summer season the Kami-kohchi area has been closed to the public due to concerns about COVID-19. Thisview of the Hodaka montains was scketched when we visited there last year. Sitting at the foot of the bridge named Kappa-bashi, I payed attention not on the accuracy of the shape, which might be obtained through a photograph, but on the link of cracks and the degree of blightness of the snow, and on rugged rocks which I could never crimb. The sketch recalls to my mind these inpressions afterwards. Visitors to the Kami-kohchi area are never tired of looking at wonderful scenic points.
Rolling Seasons: Spring and Fall
The grain of plywood led me to conceive this image of rolling seasons. White ZESSO was painted as groundwork. The grains were carrfully traced with a fine brush. I composed Spring and Fall to be mirror symmetry. The picture looks Japanese style, somewhat like Ogata Kohrin, a famous Japanese artist, (may be self-praise).
